Follow the bug-bait recipe. Add the dish soap when you set the trap. For that added kick, add a tsp of beer or red wine to the bait before you add the soap. If you mix a batch recipe, do not add beer or dish soap to the vinegar and sugar mixture; it will sour. Vinegar and sugar mixture should keep in a sealed jar for several months.
Put the bait in the jar, insert the trap funnel, and secure it with the threaded lid ring.
Clean the trap of dead bugs and bait solution every 4-5 days. Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Dry and add more bait solution. Leave the trap in traffic areas such as near the kitchen trash can.
